So I'm letting some guy who is claiming to be a fellow mage come into the house so he can test me as a viable candidate for joining a not-so-secret society of wizards. I suspect he is trustworthy, but just in case I'm wrong, and Lambert's precognitive abilities fail, his name is Jonathan Strange and you can start the investigation into my murder with him.

[In the mailbox is a simple bag of gingerbread men, with a simple ribbon of colorful fabric tying it all together. There's nothing special about the cookies or the bag, or the ribbon. It's just... gingerbread.]

BOX IN HER TRAILER: WITH NOTE

[On B18, they will find a fancy looking gift box in his trailer with a note left on top. The handwriting is done in an over the top cursive that he might recognize as the Ringmaster's, written on aged papyrus with the ink seemingly made of shining gold.]

[Her signature is so massive and florid that it fills up the rest of the paper. When they open the box, she'll find her guitar and amp, from home.]

[ At some point, Miko will get a box at her doorstep. Inside is a t-shirt, three Samum bombs, and generic urban fantasy novel titled The Cursed. It appears to be the third book in a series, and the main character is a man who's been transformed into a were-dog and joins a secret organization tasked with keeping the existence of the supernatural secret from mortals. There's a motley collection of side-characters of various supernatural species, and this book is focused on solving a series of mysterious deaths that witnesses say were carried out by ghosts... ]

Thanks for the gift. It really packs a punch. Don't try any of the rituals in the book, as far as I can tell most of them are made up. The advice about keeping silver on you is good, though.

The bombs will stun anything caught in their blast, but they also make a lot of noise so they can make good distractions. If you need more after you use these up, or you need a demonstration, just let me know.

[Left in Miko's mailbox is a painted card, along with a small, slightly lumpy package. The card smells of pine needles, snow and a fireplace, and features Papyrus, waving enthusiastically ahead. Somehow there's boneprint snowflakes faintly falling against the pale background. Along the header and footer, the card reads:]

[Inside, a personal message continues:]

YOUR ARTWORK IS INCREDIBLE! WHAT A MOVING, BEAUTIFUL LIKENESS.

I WANT TO RECIPROCATE YOUR ARTING WITH THE SUPPLIES FOR FUTURE ARTISTIC EXPLOITS...
AND ALSO SOME INSPIRATIONAL FIRE??
I FIGURE YOU WOULD HAVE MORE FUN BURNING ART THAT YOU'RE UNHAPPY WITH THAN ERASING IT.
